This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving continuous improvement in productivity, staffing, machine performance, and waste reduction.\nThe ideal candidate will be a strong leader with experience in manufacturing operations, team development, and lean manufacturing principles. This position works closely with production leadership, planning, scheduling, and quality teams to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.\nKey ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development\nTrain, coach, and monitor employees to ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures.\nAssist leadership in staffing Belcrest Auto operations and equipment appropriately.\nProvide performance coaching, counseling, corrective action, and discipline in accordance with company policies.\nConduct employee performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.\nFoster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nProduction & Operational Excellence\nMaintain high standards of quality, productivity, and efficiency through training and reinforcement of best practices.\nIdentify, analyze, and resolve barriers to production performance, including training gaps, downtime, maintenance concerns, and process inefficiencies.\nLead continuous improvement efforts to enhance throughput, quality, and operational effectiveness.\nWork with production teams to improve machine setup times and increase overall productivity.\nSupport production planning and scheduling efforts to meet customer expectations and production goals.\nPerformance & Administrative Responsibilities\nMonitor key performance measures established by the Belcrest Auto Cell Superintendent.\nEnforce company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.\nReview and approve employee timesheets for payroll accuracy.\nAssist with overtime scheduling and temporary staffing requests.\nMaintain inventory levels of inks and other supplemental production materials.\nPromote and maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the work area.\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\nQualificationsRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum of 2 years of manufacturing, corrugated packaging, or production leadership experience.\nLeadership experience and/or demonstrated expertise in the corrugated packaging industry.\nStrong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.\nEffective communication and team-building abilities.\nAbility to train, coach, and develop employees.\nStrong organizational and documentation skills.\nComputer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.\nPreferred Skills\nLean manufacturing experience.\nKnowledge of Kiwi, FFF, Linux, and related production systems.\nConflict resolution and employee engagement skills.\nGoal-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.\nNote: Employment is subject to a 60-day probationary period and subsequent performance evaluations.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout the production area regularly.\nAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed.\nAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to see, hear, and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to use computers and related technology tools effectively.\nWorking Conditions\nThis position operates in a manufacturing environment and may involve prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting depending on operational needs.
