Specific responsibilities may include:\nApply cutting edge methods and tools (such as Model-Based Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Analytics) to assess designs, identify, and mitigate performance constraints and gaps, evaluate proposed changes, and support verification and test, to solve problems that make the world a safer place.\nSupporting MITRE teams in advising government leaders in defining the context, problem space and vision to determine capabilities, priorities, road maps, and technology needs using model based systems engineering / MBSE\nSupporting requirements management and analysis, interface management, architecture development and test and evaluation processes.\nIndependently conducting qualitative and quantitative systems engineering analyses that can be translated into actionable recommendations for federal agencies.\nHelp develop data-driven products to support government decision making.\nParticipation in internal and external research opportunities in cutting edge engineering fields.\nApplying systems engineering skills to drive a holistic approach to systems development and design.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline.\nMust be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US government clearance\nFamiliarity with UML/ SysML and associated modeling software to support system development and SoS development.\nHand on proficiency using R, Python/pySim, or related languages.\nUnderstanding of systems engineering processes and tools\nRelevant work or internship experience working systems, mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering projects, or related technical project work.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong critical thinking skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPreference given to qualified candidates with active clearance.\nAdvanced degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline.\nExperience using quantitative and qualitative systems engineering tools to such as MagicDraw/Cameo, Rhapsody, AnyLogic, MatLab or other relevant systems engineering tools.\nExperience developing plugins and extending the capability of system architecture modeling tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo or Rhapsody\nExperience using operational analysis tools (such as AFSIM, STK, Command PE) or Data Analytics tools and languages (such as R, Python/pySim, MATLAB).\nThis requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):\nNone\nThis requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):\nSecret\nSalary compensation range and midpoint:\n$74,500 - $93,000 - $111,500 Annual\nWork Location Type:\nHybrid\nMITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
