We are seeking a cybersecurity engineer with a technical background with specific skills in planning, engineering, deploying a suite of Defense Cyber Operations (DCO) tools. The engineer will maintain and sustain DCO tools to support the organization; identify gaps in current capabilities, and support budgeting and planning for acquisition and deployment of future security capabilities. The candidate will collaborate and coordinate with critical infrastructure and network engineering teams to provide technical security requirements via the Change Control Board, and other networked-environment governance bodies. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, thrives in team-based work environments, and has strong verbal and written communication skills. The candidate will have demonstrative experience supporting DoD/US Government organizations and agencies.Demonstrated Experience (Minimum 3 years):\r\nPerforming troubleshooting (systems/networking), problem resolution, maintaining, upgrading and deploying DCO tools (IDS both Host-based and Network-based and the supporting components, User Activity Monitoring/User Behavioral Activity, ACAS, and SIEM)\r\nApplying DISA security requirements and STIGs\r\nTrellix administration and configuration (HBSS/ESS)\r\nWorking knowledge of network (Layers 1-7)\r\nWorking knowledge of integrated infrastructure technologies e.g. CISCO, VMWare, Backup (Cohesity), Microsoft (Server, Workstation, SQL)\r\nWorking knowledge with *nix (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)\r\nWorking knowledge of proxy (explicit and transparent)\r\nWorking knowledge of DNS\r\nWorking knowledge Splunk (SPL and Administration)\r\nAbility to collaborate well within a team constructOther Skills/Qualifications:\r\nCurrent TS security clearance with current SCI access, or have been granted SCI access within the past 24 months\r\nActive DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II professional certification\r\nProficiency in Microsoft Visio or similar tool which affords systems and network architectural drawings\r\nKnowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework, Cyber Kill Chain\r\nKnowledge of eMASS\r\nKnowledge of NIST 800-53rev4 and other system accreditation documentationAcademic Qualifications:\r\nBS in computer science, engineering, mathematics, business or related field of study from an accredited institution.
