Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.\nBase pay range $45.50/hr - $50.50/hr\nSalary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 per year\nLocation: Pleasanton, CA - Hybrid Role\nJob Summary:\nAs a structural engineer, you will support the sales, estimating, and construction teams with the design process for commercial and industrial structures and ensure the construction of buildings and other structures for safety and durability. Our industry-leading structural steel building systems enable structures to be designed, fabricated, and built faster and safer than any conventional alternative. We are looking for individuals open to a hybrid work environment who can be onsite 1 - 2 days per week.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nPrepare preliminary building designs for estimates.\nConduct finite element modeling and analysis and review models from other team members.\nPrepare steel connection calculation reports and studies.\nDevelop design spreadsheets for public distribution.\nAttend project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.\nTrain other engineers on how to use our systems.\nEvaluate project opportunities for technical feasibility.\nPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.\nRequirements and Qualifications:\n4 - 7 years of experience as a structural engineer (ASCE Engineer Grade IV).\nA bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering; a master's degree is a plus.\nA Professional Engineer license (CA preferred)\nWorking knowledge of the following codes and standards: IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, AISC 341, ACI 318.\nSolid understanding of construction practices for steel-framed commercial structures such as offices, hospitals, data centers, and laboratories\nExperience designing structural steel frames for commercial projects.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nAble to engage with external stakeholders to resolve technical conflicts.\nExcellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously\nCompetency to work with minimal supervision\nProficiency in ETABS; experience in RAM, RISA, and Revit is a plus.\nCurrent knowledge of industry developments and changes to codes and standards\nDesired Skills and Experience\nBayside Solutions, Inc. may collect your personal information during the position application process.
