This includes centrifugal (single and multi‑stage), gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, as well as gear reducers, blowers, mechanical seals, and related equipment. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with vertical turbine pumps and can produce accurate inspection reports.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and pump documentationUse micrometers, dial indicators, and precision measuring toolsSafely operate mechanics’ hand tools, presses, torches, and pullersPerform pump and motor alignmentsRebuild and install mechanical sealsDisassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair vertical pumps, horizontal pumps, and other rotating equipmentComplete clear, concise inspection and repair reportsQualificationsStrong working knowledge of fits, clearances, and pump tolerancesProficient with micrometers and other precision measuring instrumentsSolid math skills for measurements and calculationsAbility to produce accurate inspection documentationExperience working on vertical turbine pumps requiredHigh school diploma required#ZRJGPreferred Skills / Additional ConsiderationsAbility to perform laser alignmentsAbility to take vibration readingsExperience with multi‑stage vertical pumps is a plusStrong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving abilityAdditional InformationPhysical Demand: Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.Training/Certifications: Ability to perform laser alignments and ability to take vibration readings preferredShift Time/Overtime: First Shift with Overtime as requiredTravel: N/AEducation: High School DiplomaLocation: USA:AZ:PhoenixDXP offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time regular employees, normally working a minimum of 30 hours per week, including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, paid holidays, life and disability insurance, and additional supplemental benefits.
