Our Values are simple and guide everything we do: We Have Commitments, We Think Big, We Act as Owners, We’re People Too, and We Never Settle.Reports ToThe Wholesale Planner will report to the Director of Planning.Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced, analytically driven, and strategically minded Wholesale Planner to lead demand planning and inventory optimization across our wholesale channels. Reporting to the Director of Planning, this role owns seasonal sales forecasting, open-to-buy management, and account-level planning. You will partner closely with Wholesale, Planning, and Finance teams to align strategies with company-wide financial goals.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, solution-oriented strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving results through data-driven decision-making in the wholesale specialty retail space.Strategic Planning & ForecastingDevelop seasonal and annual wholesale sales, margin, and inventory plans by channel and account.Own in-season sales forecasts, open-to-buy (OTB), and inventory flow plans.Generate 6, 12, and 18-month demand forecasts to ensure appropriate inventory levels.Manage replenishment and basics programs for both sell-in and sell-out.Collaborate with the Sales team to understand customer demand and adjust merchandise plans accordingly.Inventory & Account ManagementBuild and maintain account-level demand plans and buy quantities.Own pre-market buy plans, seasonal investments, and post-market reconciliation.Identify risks and opportunities related to inventory imbalances and implement mitigation strategies.Support inventory optimization, stock transfers, and liquidation strategies.Manage off-price inventory and partner with Ops and Wholesale for delivery to off-price accounts.Analysis & CollaborationAnalyze complex sales and inventory data to identify trends, product growth opportunities, and improved forecasting accuracy.Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes.Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on business goals and targets.Develop and execute merchandise plans that align with the company’s financial goalsCollaborate with the Sales team to understand customer demand and adjust merchandise plans accordinglyConduct analysis of sales data to identify opportunities for product growth and improve forecasting accuracyManage seasonal investments and track sell-in (prebooks) Manage replenishment/basics programs for sell-in and sell-out. Generate six, twelve, and 18-month demand forecasts to ensure appropriate inventory levelsPartner with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes and minimize inventory risksCommunicate regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and identify opportunities for improvementQualificationsMinimum of three (3) years of experience in merchandise planning and inventory management, preferably in the wholesale apparel industryAdvanced Excel skills (vlookup, sumif, ifand, etc)Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex sets of data and draw meaningful insightsExcellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsWhy Mizzen+Main?Not only are we makers of the best damn dress shirt, but we also strive to create the Best Damn Place to Work.
