In this role, you will focus on building, scaling, and maintaining high-performance transaction processing systems and backend infrastructure. While this is primarily a Backend position, full-stack capabilities are a welcome asset. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex financial and technical requirements into robust, secure, and production-ready code.\n\nPlease note: you must have at least 7+ years of experience with Golang to be considered for this role.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITY\nDesign, develop, and maintain secure, reliable backend services for transaction processing, ledgers, and financial integrations.\nImplement real-time data pipelines, manage event-driven architectures, and optimize relational database schemas.\nDesign and manage distributed, containerized cron jobs and background workflows for processing scheduled financial data.\nIdentify system bottlenecks, optimize end-to-end application performance, and ensure high availability of core services.\nPartner with product managers, finance teams, and other engineering stakeholders to deliver comprehensive, high-quality software solutions.\n\nEXPERIENCE\n7+ years of professional software engineering experience.\nStrong experience developing backend systems using Go (Golang).\nProven experience working with event streaming and message brokers using Kafka.\nDemonstrated experience handling relational databases, complex schema design, and query optimization using PostgreSQL.\nHands-on experience designing and managing containerized scheduled tasks using Kubernetes (K8s) cron.\nCore expertise in building backend systems, with Full-Stack (FS) capability considered a strong plus.\nExcellent verbal and written English communication skills\nExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.\nOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills.\nInitiative and drive to do great things.\nNice to Have\nPrior experience with payments and financial platforms such as Stripe, NetSuite, or Oracle.\nExperience with cloud-native monitoring and observability platforms like Chronosphere.\nProficiency with Java (backend) or React (frontend).\n\nABOUT THE COMPANY/BENEFITS\nPlan A Technologies is an American software development and technology advisory firm that brings top-tier engineering talent to clients around the world.
