The successful candidate will work closely with our internal development and construction teams to ensure projects are installed and performing as designed for our clients while meeting our energy guarantees. Willdan provides services in the design and implementation of building energy savings projects, energy management, mechanical HVAC systems design, and measurement & verification of energy and water savings. Our typical focus includes facilities in the higher education, K-12 education, healthcare, county government, city government, commercial and industrial facility markets.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nLead commissioning of MEP and DER projects from design through turnover and monitor system performance through a defined performance period.\r\nDevelop and communicate the commissioning plan to all project team members.\r\nReview design documents and give input for technical solutions and controls on new projects.\r\nConduct submittal reviews for MEP and controls.\r\nDeveloping pre-functional checklists, functional testing procedures, and conduct functional tests.\r\nMaintain and communicate the issues log.\r\nCollaborate closely with the engineering and construction teams to resolve issues to ensure project performance and quality.\r\nWrite reports for internal and external purposes based on findings.\r\nContinually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.\r\nConduct existing building commissioning investigations when needed to improve operation of existing HVAC installations.\r\nAssist with post-installation performance tracking for Measurement and Verification (M&V) obligations.\r\nJob Requirements / Qualifications\r\nMinimum of 4 years delivering the commissioning process.\r\nB.S. or greater in engineering, architecture, or related fields.\r\nKnowledge of automation and control systems, HVAC systems, DER, plumbing, fire alarm/life safety systems, lighting and lighting controls, and test & balance procedures.\r\nExperience holding teams accountable to process.\r\nPossess excellent organizational skills.
