Fiscal Specialist
Fiscal SpecialistLocation: Terry Park, 3410 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL, 33916 Lee County Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a Fiscal Specialist to join our team. This position provides general support within the fiscal section of the department by handling payments, tracking expenses, and helping staff with daily financial tasks. You will work with invoices, purchase orders, deposits, and department records. This role is important in helping the department stay organized and follow County policies.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll DoProcess invoices, payments, and purchase ordersHelp with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasksTrack expenses and keep financial records up to dateReconcile spreadsheets, credit cards, and financial reportsManage the department procurement card programTrain and support staff who use procurement cardsWork with the bank and review transactions for accuracyHandle employee reimbursements and vendor paymentsProcess daily deposits and ACH web/phone paymentsMaintain petty cash and change fundsEnter and track work orders in the systemMaintain databases and prepare reports when neededAssist with tracking vehicles, major equipment, and inventoryPerform other related duties as assignedEducation, Experience, LicensingWhat We're Looking For Minimum Requirements:Any combination of education and experience equivalent to High School graduation or GED equivalent and three years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or closely related experiencePossession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving recordPreferred Requirements:Proficiency with data entryKnowledge of accounting and bookkeeping methods and principlesAbility to effectively communicate orally and in writingKnowledge of computer software such as; MS Excel, Word, Windows, etc.Excellent customer service skillsSupplemental InformationWork Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
