Establish policies and procedures for the successful implementation of rules, work processes and completion of related training.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nDuties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\nResponsible for Apprentice Program Department processes. Must identify any changes that will enhance departmental process quality and submit Maintenance Program Revision Requests for applicable policy and procedure changes.\nDevelop and maintain a training schedule that ensures apprentices receive all required training, including the latest Airman Certification Standards and Aviation Mechanic General, Airframe, and Powerplant Practical Test standards.\nMaintain the Kalitta Air Apprentice Program Manual information.\nMaintain a continuous interface with the maintenance & quality disciplines for the purpose of ensuring productivity and training concerns are addressed for assigned apprentices.\nEnsure that adequate apprentice records are established and maintained.\nCoordinate with the OJT Program and the Instruction/Development team to evaluate classroom instruction and practical skills measurements.\nCoordinate with the Instruction/Development team to analyze apprentice courses for effectiveness and/or applicability to current regulatory, company, and departmental policies and procedures.\nInterface with USDOL, Michigan Works, FAA, and other local agencies in the establishment and compliance of apprentice services, grant funding and regulatory compliance.\nMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the apprentice curriculum by creating and implementing measures to track alignment to objectives and track outcomes.\nResponsible for all aspects of the Kalitta Air, LLC U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program and maintaining associated RAPIDS tracking system information.\nPerform any other duty as assigned by the Director of Technical Training.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\n\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nA, P or both Certification is preferred.\nExperience in aviation maintenance, technical operations, or related field.\nAbility to assess performance and provide constructive feedback.\nStrong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.\nHigh attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.\nAbility to coordinate multiple trainers, tasks, and trainees simultaneously.\nCommitment to safety and regulatory compliance.\n\nLANGUAGE SKILLS:\n\nThe ability to read, write and understand English.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\n\nThe Company can make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\n\nThe employee will perform duties in an office and shop environments.\n\nACCOMMODATIONS:\n\nIf you need reasonable accommodation for the online application process due to a disability, please call (734) 544-7010.
