In this role, you’ll be responsible for building high-quality cable harnesses and wiring assemblies used in aerospace and defense applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cable harness fabrication, soldering, and hold a valid J-STD certification.As a Cable Technician, you’ll be responsible for:Building cable harnesses, wire bundles, and electrical assemblies to exact engineering specificationsReading and interpreting wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly drawingsPerforming soldering, crimping, and splicing in compliance with J-STD-001 standardsUsing hand tools and specialized equipment for cable assembly, including wire strippers, heat guns, and multimetersConducting quality checks and testing completed harnesses for continuity and resistanceEnsuring all work meets internal and industry quality standardsDocumenting work performed and reporting any discrepancies or required reworkCollaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet deadlines and resolve technical issuesWhat you’ll need:2+ years of experience building cable harnesses or electrical assemblies, with strong soldering skills (required)J-STD-001 certification (required)IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification is a plusStrong knowledge of cable assembly techniques, including soldering, crimping, and routingAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagramsExcellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentPerks:Hourly pay range: $20–$25/hr, based on experienceCareer development and certification opportunitiesFull benefits package including medical, vision, dental, and life insurancePaid time offMonday–Friday schedule with optional overtimeClick on Apply Now to be considered for the Cable Technician role, or visit our website www.openwork.com to explore other available opportunities.About Openwork:\r\nOpenwork is a talent-first staffing company on a mission to bring ease and thoughtfulness to an industry we’ve held a footing in for 50+ years.
