We focus on what our customer needs on the jobsite – a machine that holds up in the toughest environment and increases their productivity.At JCB, we stand behind our products – and our name.Position PurposeThis position is essential for maintaining an optimum span of control for Team Members and to give adequate support, training, and development to Team Members in multiple areas of manufacturing.Position TypeFull Time, Non-ExemptMajor Tasks, Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesLead the team in a production environmentPerform labor operations such as assembling and sub-assembling equipment and parts that make up the backhoe loader using hand tools and power toolsAbility to operate overhead cranes, manipulators, and assembly equipmentSupporting and developing the team and team membersContinuously measuring and improving safety, quality, efficiency, and costConducting daily safety meetings and team meetingsFilling in for absenteeismProviding training and feedback to fellow team members to help facilitate continuous improvementOther duties or tasks as assignedNature & ScopeReports to Group LeaderMinimum QualificationsMust pass drug screens, background checks, and pre-employments tests as applicable.High school diplomaTwo years of experience in assemblyOne year of experience in a supervisory/team leader roleForklift certificationPreferred QualificationsAssociate’s degree in manufacturing or related fieldThree years of assembly experience in a related industryFour years of experience in a supervisory/team leader role Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & CompetenciesEffective communication and problem-solving skillsDetail oriented and self-directedMulti-task while maintaining a sense of urgencyOperate a forklift, pneumatic or various hand tools and/or heavy equipment or the demonstrated ability to learnMust wear Personal Protective Equipment as requiredJob ConditionsBoth office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environmentSubject to noise and temperature changesPhysical RequirementsMust be able to work flexible schedule, including but not limited to 12-hour shifts/7 days a weekMust be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbsMust be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities.
