LEVEL 3 NICU REGISTERED NURSE - NIGHTS

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Level 3 NICU Registered Nurse to join our night shift team!JOB SUMMARY: 1. Provide care for infants immediately after birth. 2. Oversee the care of infant patients in the NICU. 3. Troubleshoot and maintain NICU equipment. 4. Consult with parents/guardians on aftercare and long-term health management for infants. 5. Educate new parents on basic infant care including breastfeeding, hygiene and safety. 6. Current valid RN license with the state of Idaho. Proof of completion of the following courses is required either at time of hire, or within the time frame designated.Experience: Previous NICU experience preferred.Equipment/Technology: Basic Computer Skills. Able to use a variety of medical devices including, but not limited to: I.V. pumps, radiant warmers, Neonatal monitoring devices, Newborn medication administration, and respiratory equipment.Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate drug dosages.Mental Capabilities: Poses critical thinking skills and organization. Ability to prioritize patient care for safety and optimal outcome.Interpersonal: Able to work well with others. Able to de-escalate volatile situations. Able to offer and consider constructive instruction. Possess leadership abilities.Performance: Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
