You will oversee all aspects of project planning, design, implementation, and completion. Your expertise in electrical systems, project management, and team leadership will be crucial in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\nEssential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities\nTasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:\nProcurement\nCreate and maintain a submittal and procurement log.\nVerify fixture counts and check vendor Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy.\nBudget\nMaintain budget, forecast, and WIP for the duration of the project.\nIdentify cost impacts and act or record accordingly.\nResolve conflicts, questions, and potential shortages with the Estimating Department.\nProductivity\nMaintain productivity records for the field.\nTrack productivity and meet regularly with field leadership to review progress.\nIdentify and resolve production issues.\nIdentify the best approach for project completion and create an order of operations plan.\nSafety\nSet and enforce site-specific safety policies and plans.\nSchedule\nReview and analyze contract schedules, pushing back against unrealistic durations.\nAssist in workforce projections and ensure the creation of lookahead schedules.\nQuality Control / Quality Assurance\nCollaborate with field leadership to address installation challenges.\nCreate layouts for complex installations and participate in BIM coordination.\nDocument Control Plan\nManage electronic file cabinets to ensure information is current, organized, and easily accessible.\nMaintain protocols for document management and presentation.\nCoordinate submittals and closeout documents effectively.\nTeam Management\nWork closely with the team of managers and analysts to ensure project success.\nDelegate work and assignments based on expertise and time constraints.\nCreate new and maintain good relationships with general contractors.\nProvide coaching/counseling to the foreman.\nQualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills\nRequired:\n5+ years’ experience in the commercial electrical industry.\nLicense/Certification\nPreferred:\nPMP, PgMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certifications (Preferred).\nValid Driver’s License.\nAssociated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nExtensive experience in the commercial electrical industry with knowledge of electrical systems and installations.\nAbility to read blueprints and interpret bid documents accurately.\nProficiency in Procore, NetSuite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office 365 (Preferred).\nStrong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.\nExcellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.\nBilingual in English and Spanish desirable but not required.\nCore Job Competencies\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following job competencies:\nCooperation/Teamwork—Works harmoniously and builds a positive team spirit while working with others to get a job done; responds positively to instructions and procedures.\nOral/Written Communication—Expresses oneself clearly in conversation and business writing.
