Thursday in the office, All expenses paid/reimbursed)Duration: 06+ Months Contract Role + ExtensionPay Range: $100/hr. to $120/hr.Job Description:Enterprise Architecture LeadershipDefine and maintain target-state and transitional architectures for digital asset and stablecoin capabilities across the enterprise.Establish reference architectures, standards, and architectural guardrails for blockchain and stablecoin usage.Review and govern solution designs involving digital assets through architecture review boards and SDLC processes.Drive architectural clarity across lines of business, preventing fragmented or ad-hoc crypto implementations.Stablecoin & Digital Asset ArchitectureDesign end-to-end architectures for stablecoin platforms, including:On-chain smart contracts and token modelsOff-chain orchestration, ledgering, and reconciliationWallet and custody integrationMint, burn, redemption, and settlement flowsDefine integration patterns between blockchain platforms and:Core banking and general ledger systemsPayments rails (ACH, Fedwire, RTP, internal book transfer)Liquidity management and treasury systemsGuide architectural decisions across public, permissioned, and hybrid blockchain models.Crypto / Stablecoin Technology StackProvide architectural leadership across the full digital asset stack, including:Blockchain networks (e.g., EVM-based public or permissioned networks, Layer-2s)Token standards and permissioning models (e.g., ERC-20, permissioned tokens)Smart contract controls (upgradeability, pause/blacklist, role-based access)Middleware for transaction monitoring, indexing, and off-chain synchronizationAPI and event-driven integration patternsCloud-native platforms (Azure/AWS), containerization, and secure key managementSecurity, Risk, and ComplianceEmbed bank-grade security controls into all digital asset architectures, including:Private key lifecycle management and HSM integrationSegregation of duties, dual control, and transaction signing policiesWallet tiering strategies (hot/warm/cold)Resilience, failover, and incident response for on-chain and off-chain componentsEnsure architectures align with U.S. banking regulatory expectations, including:BSA/AML and OFAC sanctions enforcementTravel Rule complianceNYDFS cybersecurity requirementsOperational resilience, auditability, and examiner transparencyPartner closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Audit teams to support approvals and examinations.Strategic Advisory & CollaborationServe as a trusted advisor to senior technology and business leaders on digital asset strategy.Evaluate vendors, custodians, analytics providers, and blockchain platforms through an enterprise and risk lens.Assess emerging technologies (e.g., tokenized deposits, permissioned DeFi constructs, CBDC pilots) and provide clear recommendations on applicability and risk.Required Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's/master's in computer science, Engineering, or related field.8+ years of enterprise architecture experience in large, complex environments.Demonstrated experience designing or governing digital asset, blockchain, or stablecoin platforms in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments.Strong understanding of stablecoin models, including reserve-backed issuance, redemption mechanics, and settlement flows.Hands-on architectural experience with:Blockchain platforms and smart contractsAPI-driven and event-driven integrationCloud-native architectures (Azure)Security architecture for high-risk financial systemsExperience engaging with risk, compliance, audit, and regulators on novel technology architectures.Strong executive-level communication skills with the ability to explain complex architectures clearly and credibly.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working directly with:Stablecoin issuers, custodians, or digital asset infrastructure providersPayment modernization or real-time settlement platformsFamiliarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).Cloud or security certifications (Azure Architect, security-focused credentials).Prior experience influencing enterprise-wide technology standards or governance.Expected DeliverablesEnterprise and solution architecture blueprints for digital asset and stablecoin platforms.Reference architectures and approved design patterns for blockchain usage.Integration roadmaps aligning legacy banking platforms with digital asset capabilities.Architecture risk assessments and mitigation strategies.Regulator- and audit-ready documentation supporting
