Trueline's client, a well-established commercial construction firm with decades of success in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a Superintendent to join their team in the greater Seattle area. This role focuses on leading occupied retail and grocery projects, offering a stable, team-driven environment with long-term career potential.What You'll Do as the Superintendent:Lead day-to-day field operations on active construction sitesManage subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics to keep projects on trackOversee work in occupied retail environments with a strong focus on cleanliness and safetyCoordinate night work and phased construction to minimize disruption to operationsEnsure quality control and adherence to project plans and specificationsCommunicate regularly with Project Managers and stakeholders on progress and issuesMaintain jobsite organization, safety compliance, and productivitySupport successful project delivery from start through completionMust-Haves as the Superintendent:5+ years of superintendent or lead field experience in commercial constructionExperience with tenant improvement (TI), retail, or occupied renovation projectsProven ability to run a jobsite independently and manage subcontractorsStrong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and site coordinationAbility to work in active, customer-facing environments with attention to detailStable work history (no frequent job hopping)Nice-to-Haves as the Superintendent:Experience with grocery store construction or remodelsWillingness to travel occasionally within Washington or Oregon (project-dependent)Experience with night work or phased construction in occupied spacesStrong communication and team collaboration skillsOur Client Offers:Base salary typically ranging from $120,000 to $130,000Vehicle allowance ($450-$500/month) and gas card, with potential for company truckDiscretionary bonus Profit sharing programFull medical coverage for employee and familyLong-term stability with extremely low turnoverDown-to-earth, team-first culture with no layers or bureaucracyOpportunity to work on high-visibility retail and grocery projectsTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
