You will act as a designated licensing and compliance lead, serving as a company qualifier where required and overseeing licensing risk for the business. You will partner closely with Construction & Engineering, Sourcing, Legal, EHS, Customer Units, Market Area Operations, and external suppliers to ensure construction and infrastructure work complies with laws, regulations, contracts, and Ericsson standards. This role builds long-term in-house expertise in contractor licensing and supports a pipeline of qualified professionals for future needs.\n\nWhat you will do\n\nLead and support Ericsson’s contractor licensing and qualifier program across multiple U.S. states and jurisdictions\nMaintain visibility of licensing requirements, renewals, and overall compliance status\nPartner with sourcing teams to ensure contractors meet licensing and regulatory requirements before work is awarded\nHelp develop and implement contractor licensing standards, processes, and governance\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies on licensing, permitting, and compliance topics\nSupport construction compliance reviews, audits, and corrective action programs\nAssist with regulatory reporting and documentation requirements\nMonitor changes in licensing regulations and communicate business impacts\nDevelop reports and dashboards to provide executive visibility on compliance performance\nSupport field teams in identifying risks related to workmanship, permitting, safety, and code compliance\nServe as a liaison between operations, sourcing, legal, and construction delivery on licensing and qualifier obligations\n\nThe skills you bring\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent industry experience\n5+ years of experience in construction, telecom infrastructure, utilities, engineering, field operations, supplier management, compliance, or project delivery\nActive General and/or Electrical Contractor (GC/EC) license, or clear progress toward licensure in at least one U.S. state\nStrong organizational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a distributed environment\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret regulatory and licensing requirements\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nWillingness to pursue additional licenses, certifications, and professional qualifications as needed\nPreferred: PE, EIT, PMP, or similar certification; experience in contractor licensing, permitting, construction compliance, or supplier governance; telecom, utility, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial construction experience; and/or 4+ years of electrical journeyman or equivalent field construction experience\n\nWhat happens once you apply?\nClick Here to find all you need to know about what our typical hiring process looks like.\n\nEricsson uses a merit-based hiring approach that values people with different experiences, perspectives and skillsets.
