Overview: We are looking for a Data Engineer III to join an Enterprise Data team focused on modernizing and consolidating cloud-based data platforms. In this role, you will design and optimize scalable data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and data models that support analytics, reporting, operational insights, and near real-time data delivery. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and building reliable data infrastructure that drives decision-making, this role will be a strong fit.\r\nWhat You Will Do\r\nDesign, build, and optimize scalable, reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.\r\nBuild and enhance data ingestion frameworks using AWS services (e.g., Glue, DataSync) and platforms such as Snowflake and dbt.\r\nImplement ingestion strategies for structured and unstructured data from databases, APIs, and streaming sources, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and security.\r\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues across pipelines, ingestion jobs, and data workflows.\r\nDevelop and maintain data models to support analytics, reporting, and cross-functional business needs.\r\nEnsure adherence to data governance, compliance requirements, and security best practices.\r\nMonitor and tune performance of the data ecosystem; proactively identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.\r\nPartner with engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.\r\nSupport onboarding/integration of operational/QoS-style telemetry datasets to enable improved near real-time visibility.\r\nRequirements\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\r\n5+ years of data engineering experience designing and supporting scalable data solutions.\r\nStrong proficiency in Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and Python.\r\nExperience with modern ETL/ELT frameworks, data pipeline design, and data modeling.\r\nExperience with streaming and batch ingestion technologies such as Kafka and NiFi/Apache Flow-based tools.\r\nHands-on experience with AWS data services and performance-tuning practices.\r\nAbility to translate business needs into scalable data architectures.\r\nStrong communication skills – able to explain deliverables, analyses, and issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.\r\nStrong organizational skills; able to set priorities, manage bandwidth, and drive ownership of assigned work.\r\nBenefits\r\nThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably, in good faith, believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.\r\nWe offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
