Network Engineer - F5 / CCNA Hybrid Some on site in Seattle, WA/Remote

We have a 6 - 9+ month contract to hire position open for a Network Engineer position located in Seattle. This is a hybrid, primarily work from home position but may need to go into the office for emergency situations in Seattle.Working hours are Monday - Friday 8 - 5 pm.Top 3 requirements:Fair amount of Current F5 - VIP F5 KnowledgeCCNANeed to be able to work independently and learn at a quick rateHigh School Diploma or regional equivalent requiredBachelor's Degree required, preferably in Computer Science or Network Engineering. At the manager's discretion, additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirementMinimum 5-7 years of recent experience with network design and build-out of LAN/WANs and/or large-scale network retrofits and remediationsHands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP solutions, including load balancing and application delivery.Knowledge of SolarWinds Monitoring and Forescout NACMust have certifications: CCNA and F5 101Preferred certifications: F5 201, F5 301, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP preferred, CCIE (R&S, SP, or DC) highly preferred (or equivalent experience), Python PCEPAdvanced level experience working with most of the following technologies/applications: MPLS,BGP, LDP, QoS, IPv6, OSPF, vPC, STP, DWDM, EVPN, L2VPN, MPLS VPN, L3VPN, FHRP, VLAN,CDP, port-channels, IS-IS, MPLS Inter-AS, VXLAN, DNS, ACL, RADb, Flow spec, RTBH, GitHub, API's, NFV, Hypervisors, virtual switching Multi-vendor experience working with the following platforms: Cisco IOS, ASR 1k (IOS-XE), ASRNCS (IOS-XR), Nexus (NX-OS), Aruba wireless and ClearPassJob Descriptions: Network Engineer III(F5)Private Cloud - Americas Healthcare and Tech – Americas Healthcare and Tech /The Network Engineer-III is responsible for the planning, design, configuration, integration & installation of our growing local area network (LAN) and/or wide area network (WAN). The Network Engineer-III will provide leadership in technical support and documentation to various departments and users with regard to the global infrastructure. The Network Engineer-III serves as a liaison to gather network requirements from internal customers, vendors, and other third-party providers.This role will have a strong focus on F5 technologies, including BIG-IP LTM, GTM, Remote access, traffic management, and application delivery optimization across the enterprise network. Other responsibilities will include Forescout device profiling in a Software Defined Access environment, and managing SolarWinds device monitoring for the Data Center and Enterprise environment.Work Location:Hybrid / some Onsite in Seattle, WAAdditional travel to satellite locations in Tacoma, WA, and Olympia, WAResponsibilitiesThis role will have a strong focus on F5 technologies, including BIG-IP LTM, traffic management, and application delivery optimization across the enterprise network.DESIGN: Perform design requirements and recommendations for the enterprise network Perform vendor recommendation/selection and coordination for hardware testing, installations, and upgrades.BUILD: Create maintenance plans, including detailed documentation & change management coordination.Perform maintenance and upgrades of both hardware and software.Scripting and testing of maintenance plans for all upgrades andchanges.Work in either a lead role or an assisting role during maintenance implementationsIMPROVEMENTS: Develop or conform to client Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) & Method of Procedures (MOP's)Implement network standardizationpracticesDocument informational content for specialized network designs to be used for training needsPresent and/or Train on new network topologies, hardware, and technologies to internal teamsLead Root Cause Analysis sessions to achieve better networkingpracticesDetermine baseline requirements for our network needsProvide code analysis on existing software, IOS testing, and software recommendationsCreate network lab mockups for error testingAutomate repetitive Engineering tasks
