{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"087bd5fc377725118c78b472","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/087bd5fc377725118c78b472","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/087bd5fc377725118c78b472","title":"Process Engineer","description":"*Process Engineer*\n\n*Georgetown, KY*\n\n*Contract*\n\n*Requirements:*\nJob Description:\n\n* Responsible for the design, manufacturing, confirmation, and launch of dies & equipment used to make high quality automotive sheet metal body panels and parts for new model introduction.\n* Support and documentation of model launch at North American manufacturing plants for process setup, die trials, and milestone activities.\n* Key departmental indicators are part safety, quality, schedule, and cost.\n\nDuties include:\n\n* Process confirmation (process sheet and die design reviews)\n* Monitor the design process and provide input to the design\n* Monitor die construction and provide direction for problem resolution of any issues that may occur\n* Develop and implement plans to function check the dies in offline and home line presses\n* Confirm and track part quality and die performance in detail through the new model launch phases\n* Develop and implement specific countermeasures (Die Manufacturing Requests) to improve part quality by modification to the dies\n* Confirm all aspects of die function to ensure robust processes are handed over to the home manufacturing facility\n* Attend to all aspects of assigned panels and parts and related tooling and die development\n* Die tryout lead onsite and countermeasure direction setting\n* Trial readiness confirmation with Die Manufacturing and plant pilot team, safety\n* Quality and productivity confirmation of die and part\n* Documentation of activities and handover to manufacturing plant\n* Reflection of part activities and launch activities after handover with focus on process kaizen to implement into future projects\n\n*Requirements:*\n\n* Experience using Catia, AutoCAD, C3 or another 3D design tool is preferable along with strong MS Office knowledge and technical writing skills.\n* Bachelor's Tech degree or equivalent experience.\n* Good communication skills to work in a team environment with internal and external customers.\n* Fundamental knowledge of mechanics of materials.\n* Fundamental knowledge of tooling and machining.\n* 3-5 years of experience in Stamping (die structure/ function).\n* Ability to travel to support at other locations, domestic and international;
