Director of Sales – Inpatient Rehabilitation HospitalA growing inpatient rehabilitation hospital is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead facility-based business development and referral growth efforts. This role serves as the primary sales leader for the hospital and is responsible for directing a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed referral and census goals through strategic outreach, relationship management, and market development.The Director of Sales acts as a key liaison between the hospital and the healthcare community, fostering strong partnerships with referral sources while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute quarterly sales plans to achieve targeted referral and census goalsLead, mentor, and support facility sales team members, including Clinical LiaisonsConduct joint sales calls with team members to strengthen relationships with existing and prospective referral sourcesEstablish and maintain strong professional relationships to drive repeat referral opportunitiesIdentify and pursue managed care opportunities in collaboration with corporate partnersMonitor market trends, referral patterns, and competitive activity to inform strategyPerform ongoing competitive and referral analysis to optimize growth initiativesCoordinate facility tours, presentations, and educational outreach for referral partnersEnsure accurate and timely completion of weekly reporting and CRM/database managementPlan and lead regular sales meetings to align team efforts and performance expectationsCollaborate with clinical, nursing, and medical leadership to develop and promote service line programsRepresent the hospital at conferences, events, and community engagement opportunitiesMaintain knowledge of healthcare regulations, licensing standards, and third-party payor requirementsOversee patient evaluation processes and ensure timely follow-up with patients and familiesCommunicate progress, challenges, and opportunities effectively to executive leadershipExecute all sales activities in a cost-effective and strategic mannerAssist with special projects and cross-functional growth initiatives as neededQualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree requiredRN/OT/PT/SLP PreferredExperience:Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a hospital or healthcare settingProven background in case management, referral development, or healthcare salesStrong experience in client relationship management and business developmentDemonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies for new or expanding marketsLicensure/Certification:None requiredWhat We’re Looking ForStrong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop teamsStrategic thinker with a hands-on approach to driving growthExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsDeep understanding of the healthcare referral landscape
