LINDAR is now hiring at our Baxter, MN, location!\nWe provide a clean, friendly environment with competitive wages, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.\nClassification: Exempt\nSupervise 10-15 employees\nShift times: 9:00 pm to 6:00 am Sunday - Thursday\nJob Description\nSummary/Objective\nTo ensure that the daily shift plan developed by the Department Manager and Scheduling is executed and that product quality, departmental productivity, labor efficiency goals, and other objectives are met. To promote and lead LINDAR safety, quality, and productivity programs.\nEssential Functions\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n· Direct production personnel as necessary to execute the shift plan developed by department leadership and Scheduling, or to alternate tasks as necessary\n· Provide effective communications between production teams and department leadership\n· Ensure accurate and timely production information and documentation\n· Ensure that standard practices and procedures are followed\n· Work with the setup tech team to coordinate and schedule setups\n· Work with Quality to ensure timeliness of first article part approvals, product quality inspections, and overall product quality\n· Support Lean principles and practices and encourage participation in LINDAR safety and Lean initiatives\n· Interview, select, and participate in the on-boarding process of new employees\n· Review and approve time cards, schedule and approve vacations, develop and monitor employee performance improvement plans, and recommend employee discipline as necessary\n· Schedule employee overtime as necessary\n· Participate in team members’ performance reviews\nCompetencies\n· Strong organizational and communications skills\n· Strong mechanical aptitude\n· Thorough understanding of work instructions, bills of manufacturing (BOMs), production schedules, and other product information\n· Thorough understanding of production data and data collection methodology\n· Ability to develop, support, and lead a strong team\n· Ability to effectively manage time in a fast-paced, challenging environment\nDesired Qualifications:\n· High school diploma or equivalent\n· Strong leadership skills\n· Manufacturing background (minimum of 5 years)\n· Supervisory experience (minimum of 3 years)\nWork Environment\n· Professional, clean manufacturing environment with safe levels of temperature and sound variations\nPhysical Demands\n· Lift up to 50 lbs\n· Significant amount of walking\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work\n· This is an exempt, full-time position (40-50 hours per week)\nOther Duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
