Develop site strategy to ensure a valid contingency analysis for all site reliefs, including prioritization of efforts to update or correct analyses, and oversee implementation of that strategy with support of contract resources as necessary.\n\nThey will provide process engineering support to the units, developing in‑depth process area knowledge by driving tactical and strategic process improvements in key unit priorities, such as:\n\nEHSS / Compliance\n\nCost\n\nStability\n\nQuality\n\nThe Process Engineer will also analyze current process capability, find root causes to issues, and implement improvements. They will support manufacturing, process optimization projects, and process/product changes using a cross‑functional team approach that addresses all aspects of the product and process changes.\n\nHow You Can Be the Impact\n\nComplete or and support reviews of relief contingencies through verification of past analyses, current drawings and equipment information, and confirm validity of different overpressure scenarios with input from Operations as necessary. Lead or and coordinate implementation of any identified corrective actions from contingency analyses, including leading MOC efforts and project implementation as needed.\n\nDevelop internal expertise of relief contingency analysis through mentoring and training of other site engineers and technicians.\n\nProvide support to the site to ensure the units meet all ISO, PSM, and other external and internal regulatory requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, participating in PHAs, executing MOCs, investigating incidents, and owning closure of action items (ATS).\n\nCollect and analyze data for process improvement opportunities.\n\nUtilize root cause analysis to find root causes of issues.\n\nImplement solutions to optimize unit performance.\n\nIdentify, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding new process technologies.\n\nWhat Matters to SABIC\n\nBS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree\n\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing with a thorough understanding of process design engineering –\n\nAbility to work in a collaborative, team‑based environment.\n\nDemonstrated personal commitment in safety, environmental, health and security practices.\n\nTrack record of leading and implementing successful projects process changes, and improvements\n\nStrong sense of accountability, urgency, and self‑direction\n\nStrong leadership and communication skills\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office Tools\n\nComfortable working from platforms at elevated heights for field verification work\n\nStrong interpersonal skills\n\nDemonstrated ability to fully understand a process and its control philosophy\n\nA strong understanding of fluid flow principles and thermodynamics\n\nProficient in applying relevant industry codes and standards such as API 520, API 521, ASME Section VIII.\n\nAbility to use risk analysis results to develop a strategy to eliminate or minimize the impact of risk scenarios.\n\nUnderstanding of Management of Change (MOC) processes.\n\nDesired Skills:\n\nAspen process modeling experience\n\nStrong general mechanical background and familiarity with piping, bolting, valves, and common mechanical fabrication and repair processes\n\nEligibility Requirements\n\nYou must submit your application for employment online to be considered.
