This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise, team development, quality management, and operational oversight.\n\nThe Systems Fabrication Manager will provide leadership and direction for fabrication teams in both Orlando, FL and Burbank, CA, ensuring consistency in fabrication standards, processes, quality, and technician development across both locations. This position serves as a key contributor to the development and implementation of fabrication standards, quality procedures, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.\n\nThis position is based full-time in our Orlando fabrication facility. While primarily an in-office role, occasional travel to other company locations, project sites, and customer locations may be required to support project execution, quality initiatives, training, and operational alignment.\n\nWhat you'll do\nLeadership & Team Development\nLead, mentor, coach, and develop fabrication technicians and support personnel across Electrosonic's fabrication operations.\nFoster a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.\nEstablish performance expectations and support employee growth through training, mentoring, and development initiatives.\nPromote collaboration and consistency between Orlando and Burbank fabrication teams.\nFabrication Operations\nManage daily fabrication activities, priorities, schedules, and resource allocation to support project delivery requirements.\nOversee the assembly, wiring, testing, and preparation of AV equipment racks, custom assemblies, and integrated technology systems.\nProvide hands-on technical leadership and actively participate in fabrication activities when required to meet business demands.\nCoordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Logistics, and Field Operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.\nSupport project installations and field activities as needed to ensure successful deployment and knowledge transfer between fabrication and field teams.\nQuality & Standards\nEnsure all fabricated systems meet engineering documentation, project specifications, and company quality standards.\nConduct quality inspections, testing reviews, and final acceptance of fabricated systems before shipment.\nEstablish, document, maintain, and continuously improve fabrication standards, procedures, and best practices.\nSupport the development and implementation of fabrication standards and quality processes across both fabrication locations.\nIdentify quality issues and implement corrective actions to improve consistency and reduce rework.\nProcess Improvement\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and operational excellence.\nDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures and fabrication workflows.\nMonitor fabrication performance metrics, quality trends, and process improvement opportunities.\nPromote Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement principles throughout fabrication operations.\nSupport departmental planning and operational scalability as the organization grows.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\n3-5+ years of experience in AV integration, fabrication, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.\nDemonstrated experience leading, mentoring, or supervising technical personnel.\nStrong experience building, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting commercial AV equipment racks and integrated systems.\nAbility to read and interpret rack elevations, wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and project documentation.\nStrong understanding of commercial audiovisual technologies and integration best practices.\nExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to effectively manage priorities across multiple projects and locations.\nProficiency with fabrication tools, test equipment, and assembly processes.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and business applications.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nCTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification.\nExperience developing fabrication standards, quality programs, or technical training initiatives.\nExperience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience with ERP, MRP, inventory management, or project management systems.\nExperience working within a commercial AV systems integration environment.\nFamiliarity with warehouse operations, logistics, and material handling best practices.\n\nPhysical Requirements & Work Environment\nThis position is based full-time in Electrosonic's Orlando fabrication facility and requires regular presence within a warehouse, staging, and fabrication environment.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.\nAbility to safely lift and move materials, equipment, and AV components weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Items exceeding 50 pounds should be moved using proper lifting techniques, mechanical assistance, or team lifting practices in accordance with company safety guidelines.\nAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, test equipment, ladders, and material handling equipment.\nAbility to distinguish colors and labels used in cable identification, wiring, and system documentation.\nOccasional travel to project sites, customer locations, and company facilities may be required.\nMust be able to work safely and effectively in warehouse, fabrication, and active construction environments.\n\nSafety & Ergonomics Expectations\nThe Systems Fabrication Manager is expected to actively promote and reinforce safe work practices throughout the fabrication department, including:\nImplementation and enforcement of Electrosonic's lifting and material handling standards, including the 50/2 Rule, which promotes safe lifting practices by limiting individual lifts to approximately 50 pounds and minimizing repetitive lifting through proper planning, mechanical assistance, and team lifting techniques.\nImplementation and support of the 5/5 Rule, ensuring frequently used tools, materials, and equipment are organized within five feet of the point of use and accessible within five seconds to improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary movement, and promote ergonomic work practices.\nMaintenance of a clean, organized, and efficient fabrication environment utilizing Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement principles.\nPromotion of proper body mechanics, housekeeping standards, and safe operation of tools and equipment to minimize workplace injuries and improve productivity.\nConsistent adherence to company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.\n\nSuccess in This Role\nSuccess in this role will be measured by:\nOn-time completion of fabrication deliverables.\nConsistent fabrication quality and reduced rework.\nDevelopment and retention of fabrication personnel.\nStandardization of fabrication processes across both locations.\nImproved operational efficiency, productivity, and quality metrics.\nSafe and effective operation of fabrication facilities.\nStrong collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, Logistics, and Field Operations teams.\nSuccessful implementation of fabrication standards, training programs, and quality initiatives.\n\nSalary based on experience: $95k-$110k annual\n\nA day in the Life\nInclusive Team Culture\nAt Electrosonic we embrace our differences.
