This person can sit remotely with occasional travel. Preference is for candidates to be able to work a hybrid schedule. This person will be responsible for the design and development of manufacturing process piping systems for industrial and process facilities. This person will be responsible for system sizing design and calculations, preparing piping layouts, conducting stress analysis, preparing specifications, ensuring code compliance, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs.\n\nBelow is a summary of responsibilities for this position:\n\nDesign and develop piping systems for various industries, including but not limited to: automotive manufacturing, metals manufacturing, heavy industrial and light manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food & beverage.\nCalculate pipe sizing, pressure drops, and material requirements.\nUtilize Revit and/Plant3D to generate P&IDs, isometric drawings, plans and elevation drawings.\nEnsure designs meet applicable codes and standards.\nSupport specification and selection of piping components and materials.\nProvide site support for field verification, walk-downs, and construction troubleshooting. Ability to walk/stand in manufacturing environments for periods of time for documenting existing conditions.\nSupport commissioning and startup activities as-needed.\nStrong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\nBelow is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates:\n\nBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)\n7+ years of expeirence designing and sizing piping systesm in various industries\nExperience generating P&IDs, isometric drawings, plans and elevation drawings\nProficiency using Revit to create manufacturing process pipe designs\nExperience performing pipe stress calculations and analysis using software tools (preferred)\n\nJob Type & Location\n\nThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.\n\nPay and Benefits\n\nThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.\n\nIndividual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.\n\nEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
