Join us.\n\nJob Description\n\nThe Opportunity\nAECOM is pursuing opportunities to lead the conversion of existing Automatic Train Control Systems to a modern Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) System. Our clients are driven by the need to create modernized and safer systems for transit users that improve system reliability and flexibility. To deliver our clients’ visions, AECOM is actively hiring program management leaders who understand the complexities of defining and delivering extensive upgrades of multiple-line transit systems within operating environments.\nAs a Program Management Director at AECOM, you will have the opportunity to deliver world-class programs that create positive social and environmental outcomes, leading complex, multidisciplinary teams across diverse sectors and regions, and working with key clients and stakeholders to achieve their goals.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and direct the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.\nPlan, organize, assign, direct, review, and evaluate the team deliverables and performance; manage and direct the work of subconsultants.\nInput into all phases of CBTC program management to include design, installation, quality control, testing and commissioning, safety and security certification, staffing & budget management.\nDirect or participate in the preparation and review of designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates; ensure specifications and contract requirements comply with client standards and policies\nSupport the client with the development of scope of work;\npreparation of request for proposal;\nreview proposals and make recommendations on selection;\nassist as needed in contract negotiation and preparation;\nmonitors work activities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.\nOversee development of cost estimates; prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets.\nServe as the project liaison with other client divisions, departments, and outside agencies; lead or support resolution of project issues as required by clients.\nConduct field inspections as required, monitor work in progress.\nSupport the client with writing, approving, negotiating, and executing contract changes.\nTrack, monitor, and communicate performance against project requirements, quality measures, milestones, and KPIs.\nWhen necessary, recommend and initiate changes to project delivery plans and identify opportunities for improvement within relevant business and operating functions.\nChampion resource management, interface and constraints management, and relevant elements or risk management and mitigation.\nWhere relevant, lead meetings convened by the Sponsors with the Contractor to review the project work schedule.\n\nQualifications\n\nMinimum\nBA/BS in architecture, engineering, project management, or related field and 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership\nPreferred Requirements:\nPMI-PgMP, APM-RPP, or CMAA-CCM Certification (or equivalent)\nProfessional Engineering License (for roles in USA), Chartered status or equivalent may be required for certain roles.\n15 years of professional experience with 10 years in a program management leadership role.\nProven senior leadership experience with a track record of driving strong performance, organizational success, and achieving objectives in large organizations.\nRecognized as an experienced leader in program management nationally, with a solid track record and experience in applying innovative program management practices with successful programs.\nPossess expertise and experience in applicable technical areas of program management and a good understanding of program management competencies.\nExperience in expanding professional network within the industry, and experience and track record of successfully leading multiple medium to large programs.\nExperience contributing significantly to the field of Program Management through thought leadership, publications, conference presentations, and involvement in professional associations.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nSponsorship assistance is available\nRelocation assistance is available for this position\nAbout AECOM\nAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
