{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"081bc3e82a8f206aa1ce3d98","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/081bc3e82a8f206aa1ce3d98","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/081bc3e82a8f206aa1ce3d98","title":"Engineering Technician 2","description":"Engineering Technician 2 - Oxnard, CA\n12 month contract, $BOE\n\nPosition is for an aerospace/defense client. _*United States citizenship is required. *__Previous aerospace/defense experience is strongly preferred._\n\nAerospace/defense client is seeking a Test Technician (Level 2) to join their team located in Oxnard, CA.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n* Provide test and technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks\n* Execute comprehensive component and system level test plans, procedures and test events\n* Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews\n* Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances\n* Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment\n* Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure\n* Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such component and systems level test results and engineering design changes\n* Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.\n* Maintains engineering documentation and reports (procedures and test reports)\n* Support internal and external customers’ needs.\n* Identify, troubleshoot and solve test problems and provide assistance to manufacturing, inspection and test engineering related issues.\n* Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customers’ format.\n* Must be able to support working multiple shifts; ie: _1st shift 7am to 4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight_\n\n_*Ability to travel between the Oxnard, CA, and Goleta, CA sites and travel to support customers, and needed, approximately 10%.*_\n\n_*Basic Qualifications:*_\n_*High School diploma or equivalent and 2 year’s additional education and/or related experience.*_\n_2+ years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field_\n_*Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings*_\n_Experience working with a Microsoft Office product and process documentation_\n_*Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area*_\n_Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed_\n_*Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time*_\n_Ability to manipulate equipment weighting up to 50 pounds_\n\n_*Preferred Qualifications:*_\n_*Familiarity with working around delicate spacecraft hardware an advantage*_\n_Certification in engineering disciplines_\n_*Some college preferred*_\n\n_*10107*_\n\n_Join the TASC Technical Services team, with 30 years of excellence in the staffing industry!
