As a key member of the project team, you will provide on-site support for project teams and in-house collaboration with our operations staff, offering you diverse experiences and the chance to forge strong relationships within the industry. You will collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with Lydig’s high quality and industry leading safety standards.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nReviews submittals for completeness and compliance with contract documents\n\nCreates and maintains submittals log\n\nCompletes submittal processes in a manner that supports the project’s schedule\n\nReviews RFI’s from subs/suppliers to verify they are warranted to forward to designers\n\nLogs, submits, tracks and distributes RFI’s\n\nTakes accurate notes at meetings, and produces quality meeting minutes\n\nRenews and understands executed subcontracts and Purchase Agreements with a focus on scope, schedule and submittals\n\nUnderstands schedule needs of project and communicates to subs and suppliers as it relates to submittals and materials procurement\n\nAssists in other areas where needed\n\nQualifications\nEducation / Experience\n\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred or equivalent experience\n\n0-7 years’ experience preferred, depending on education level\n\nSafety\n\nParticipates in jobsite safety meetings, stretch-and-flex, and other safety-related activities.\n\nSkills / Abilities\n\nMust be able to establish and maintain rapport with owners, staff, subcontractors and suppliers\n\nMust have a basic understanding of the construction industry and the role of a General Contractor\n\nKnowledge of Construction Management software is preferred, also must be proficient with computer programs such as scheduling (P6 preferred), estimating, Excel, MS Word, etc.\n\nPhysical Abilities:\n\nMust be able to walk active construction sites\n\nMust be able to climb stairs and ladders\n\nVision and hearing must be adequate to read documents, reply to questions and take written notes\n\nOther Requirements\n\nCurrent driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as defined by Lydig’s insurance company and vehicle policy, if applicable for auto allowance\n\nMust be able to pass pre-employment checks including a Drug Screen, Criminal Background and possibly Credit check\n\nLydig is a drug free workplace, and all employees are considered to be in “safety sensitive” positions.
