This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (BC), and crisis management strategies that ensure the protection of critical investment operations, client services, and corporate functions.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have experience within investment management, asset management, hedge funds, private equity, wealth management, or financial services environments, with a strong understanding of regulatory expectations, operational resiliency frameworks, and technology recovery planning.\n\nLocation: 4 days on-site rotating presence in San Francisco and San Ramon, CA offices\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nBusiness Continuity Management\n\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-wide Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.\nConduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and risk assessments to identify critical business functions, recovery priorities, and operational dependencies.\nPartner with business stakeholders to establish Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).\nFacilitate annual reviews and updates of continuity plans across all business units.\nEnsure continuity strategies adequately support trading operations, portfolio management, client reporting, fund accounting, and other critical investment processes.\n\nDisaster Recovery Program Management\n\nLead enterprise disaster recovery planning for critical applications, infrastructure, cloud services, and third-party platforms.\nCoordinate DR testing activities, including tabletop exercises, technical failover tests, and full-scale recovery simulations.\nTrack remediation of identified gaps and drive continuous improvements across recovery capabilities.\nPartner with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, and Application teams to ensure recoverability of critical systems.\nMaintain recovery documentation, runbooks, and testing evidence to support audit and regulatory reviews.\n\nOperational Resilience & Crisis Management\n\nSupport the firm's operational resilience framework and critical business services mapping initiatives.\nCoordinate crisis management planning, response procedures, and executive communications.\nLead incident response coordination during business disruptions and disaster events.\nDevelop reporting and dashboards for senior leadership regarding resiliency readiness, testing outcomes, and risk exposure.\n\nRisk, Governance & Regulatory Compliance\n\nEnsure compliance with applicable financial services regulations and industry standards.\nCollaborate with Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, Information Security, and technology leadership teams.\nPresent program status, testing results, and key risk indicators to executives and governance committees.\nManage policy development and control documentation aligned with industry frameworks including FFIEC, ISO 22301, NIST, and regulatory resiliency requirements.\n\nVendor & Third-Party Resilience\n\nEvaluate third-party and critical vendor resilience capabilities.\nPartner with Vendor Risk Management teams to assess continuity and recovery preparedness.\nMonitor recovery obligations and service-level commitments for outsourced business services and technology providers.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n7 years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Operational Resilience, Risk Management, or related disciplines.\n7 years of experience conducting BIA, risk assessments, tabletop exercises, and disaster recovery testing.\n5 years of experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure recovery strategies.\n5 years of experience supporting VMWare products\n5 years of experience supporting Dell EMC technologies\n3 years of experience managing enterprise-level resilience programs within financial services, investment management, banking, or capital markets.\nBachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Risk Management, Finance, or related field.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nStrong understanding of recovery methodologies, risk assessment frameworks, and operational resilience principles.\nExperience supporting investment management platforms, trading systems, portfolio management applications, and market data services.\nKnowledge of SEC, FINRA, ERISA, OCC, FCA, or other financial services regulatory requirements.\nProfessional certifications such as:\nCBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional)\nMBCP (Master Business Continuity Professional)\nCISM\nCRISC\nPMP\nCISSP\nFamiliarity with ServiceNow BCM, Fusion Risk Management, Archer, or similar GRC platforms.\nExceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive cross-functional collaboration.\n\nEvolver is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
