All our users receive high quality support from our team, ensuring a good experience.\n\nDescription\n\nAs a Cellular Software Development Engineer, you will develop high quality software using modern software engineering techniques and tools as part of a diverse team. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing and deployment of this software, spanning various aspects of the cellular stack, including interfacing with the upper layers and implementing and driving lower layers. You will use a data-driven approach within a continuous improvement culture. You’ll work proactively with other cross-functional teams to determine the optimum software solutions to enhance the quality of Apple’s products. You will provide support to our users for bringing up and deploying our products.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n3+ years of industry experience or equivalent.\n\nRecent hands-on development experience in cellular software development.\n\nKnowledge of fundamental concepts in RF systems.\n\nFamiliarity with the use of Matlab.\n\nScripting and debug experience using Python.\n\nStrong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nA Bachelor’s degree is needed, and we highly value Master’s or above. Courses in wireless communications with a focus on cellular systems and protocols will be a plus.\n\nA good understanding of cellular protocol stacks, particularly 5G.\n\nSoftware development experience and debugging skills in C/C++ and Python.\n\nExperience with multi-processing and multi-threading based implementations.\n\nExperience developing within distributed service based software architectures.\n\nGood fundamentals in object-oriented SW design and test techniques and methodologies.\n\nOpen to international travel about 10% of the time.\n\nPay & Benefits\n\nAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.\n\nApple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
