This role partners with operations, engineering, and facilities to maintain regulatory compliance while fostering a proactive safety culture. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing compliance activities with hands-on support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\nPartner with the EHSS Program Manager and site leadership to implement environmental, health, and safety programs that meet federal, state, local, and company requirements while reducing operational risk and strengthening EHS performance.\nConduct routine facility inspections, compliance audits, and risk assessments; document findings, identify opportunities for improvement, and work with site personnel to implement corrective actions.\nLead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking to reduce recurrence and improve operational performance.\nParticipate in machine safety assessments, hazard identification, and implementation of engineering and administrative controls for manufacturing operations, including machining, assembly, and testing.\nSupport industrial hygiene initiatives, including exposure assessments, PPE selection, ventilation evaluations, and other occupational health programs as needed.\nReview Safety Data Sheets (SDS), evaluate chemical hazards, support new chemical approvals, and maintain the electronic chemical management system.\nDevelop and deliver EHS training programs.\nMaintain site-specific emergency preparedness programs, including Emergency Action Plans, emergency response equipment, drills, and first aid resources.\nSupport environmental compliance activities, including hazardous waste management, air permitting, wastewater compliance, and regulatory reporting.\nMaintain accurate EHS records, permits, training documentation, inspection reports, and compliance files.\nTravel between company facilities as needed to provide onsite EHS support.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nSystems Used\n\nMicrosoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel, Teams)\nVelocity EHS Chemical Management Software\nInfor SyteLine ERP\nUKG Workforce Management Software\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n3–5 years of experience supporting EHS programs within a manufacturing environment.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities independently while collaborating effectively across all levels of the organization and maintaining positive working relationships with team members, leadership, regulatory agencies, and external partners.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.\nWillingness to travel approximately 10%.\n\nCompensation\n\nThis position is full-time, salary, exempt. Compensation typically follows industry median for Northeast Ohio/the Great Lakes region. You may be eligible for an annual bonus.
