Now, we are expanding our global team and looking for talented individuals like you!\n\nPosition Description\nTitle: Process Engineer\nImmediate Supervisor: Operations Manager\nPosition Purpose\nRecommend improved processes, procedures, equipment, and materials which will enhance the safety, quality and efficiency in the manufacturing of IPG's products.\n\nPrinciple Accountabilities\n\nDevelop and conduct employee training sessions as needed for new equipment and processes.\n\nDevelops and implements production methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.\n\nRecommend equipment and processes for manufacture of new products.\n\nInvestigate and provide remedies for manufacturing process problems.\n\nAs required, establish working relationships with outside personnel to meet project objectives.\n\nKnowledgeable of current products, processes, equipment, and procedures to apply to design and equipment analysis.\n\nMaintain detailed records and orderly files on all assigned projects.\n\nEvaluate equipment problems and design requirements of new or modified equipment.\n\nEvaluate environmental compliance projects as they relate to the process function.\n\nCoach operating personnel to reduce waste generation and energy consumption.\n\nInvestigates and resolves work-in-process problems.\n\nReviews proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernization of existing production/processing equipment.\n\nDevelop, implement and communicate work instructions, procedures and other documentation as necessary to support work responsibilities.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nEssential Skills and Experience\n\nBS degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering or other technical field.\n\n4-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.\n\nSolid data analytic skills.\n\nStrong interest and support of continuous improvement processes and lean manufacturing initiatives.\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\n\nBasic chemical, mechanical and electrical knowledge.\n\nHigh level of computer literacy, specifically MS Office.\n\nUnderstanding of plastics chemistry and extrusion process.\n\nRecommended experience with advanced analytics, AI, machine learning, IIOT or advanced process control.\n\nRecommended knowledge in the Toyota Production System.\n\nRecommended Six Sigma certification or experience.\n\nExperience in sustainable practices such as zero landfill or C2C.\n\nWhy Choose IPG?\nAt IPG, you will find more than just a job—you will find a place where your success is our success.
