Participants support active construction projects by assisting Superintendents and site teams with daily operations, field documentation, subcontractor coordination, safety enforcement, quality control, and schedule support while upholding ESI’s standards for safety and quality. The program combines on‑job training with structured instruction led by experienced field leadership, providing exposure to construction fundamentals, drawings, RFIs, site layout, materials management, and jobsite leadership.\n\nTraining Outcomes\nBy the end of the program, the SkillBridge participant will demonstrate proficiency in:\n\nField documentation and drawing control\n\nSafety enforcement (OSHA & company standards)\n\nSubcontractor coordination and communication\n\nSchedule support and look‑ahead planning\n\nSite layout, elevations, and quality control\n\nLeadership and supervision of field labor\n\nQualifications\n\nMust be an Active Duty Service member in the United States Military.\n\nMust be approved, or be able to attain approval, for a 60‑90 day minimum SkillBridge opportunity.\n\nDemonstrate leadership, integrity, perseverance, reliability, respect, self‑discipline, dedication, and dependability.\n\nPossess organizational skills and be detail‑oriented.\n\nDemonstrate personal motivation, initiative, and potential for growth.\n\nCan work independently with minimal supervision and limited direction.\n\nShows an aptitude for management and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.\n\nAbility to maintain a high level of confidentiality.\n\nLimited knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs; specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.\n\nEffective and professional communication and interaction with supervisors, employees, and others, whether individually or in a team environment, are vital aspects of the role.\n\nWorking Conditions\n\nFast‑paced working environment.\n\nWorking environment may be busy and noisy.\n\nThis position requires outdoor work, with exposure to various weather conditions.\n\nThis role may occasionally require working in high, precarious places; near fumes or airborne particles; and handling toxic or caustic chemicals. There is also a risk of electrical shock and vibration in certain situations.\n\nThe work environment noise level is usually loud.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nThis position may require frequent travel by motor vehicle.\n\nThe role may involve extended hours on construction sites, necessitating physical stamina to move around the premises.\n\nThe ability to lift and/or move materials and tools is essential, with a maximum weight limit of 50lbs.
