The role is hybrid, requiring a presence in New York, NY, with the tasks eligible for remote work. The Digital Court Reporter will be responsible for capturing accurate recordings of depositions using digital recording equipment, annotating key moments, and ensuring the audio files are of the highest quality for legal transcription. Additional responsibilities include managing equipment, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with legal professionals and court staff.QualificationsAAERT certification (CER or CET) preferred, active and certified to work in NY state. (MUST)Understanding of legal terminology and courtroom proceduresStrong listening skills, attention to detail, and high proficiency in audio recording equipment operationNote-taking ability to annotate proceedings and document critical events during court sessionsExcellent organizational, communication, and time-management skillsProficiency with relevant software and technologies for digital transcription and document formattingCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal standards and ethical guidelinesPrior experience in court reporting or legal transcription is a plus
