Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. A K-12 educational opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to support students from diverse backgrounds. This contract position is for the current school year and is based in Monroe, NY. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with students' needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusive learning environments. Utilize assistive technologies and communication strategies to enhance student engagement. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Certified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing with appropriate state licensure. Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings. Strong knowledge of auditory and visual learning strategies. Ability to foster a supportive and accessible classroom environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
