The Position
Wilson Elser's White Plains office currently seeks a Managing Clerk Assistant. This role is primarily onsite with the possibility of remote work once a week.
The Managing Clerk Assistant will learn and perform tasks associated with the filing and service of pleadings and other documents with the Federal, State and Local Courts.

Qualifications
Must have a High School diploma
Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
Proficiency with MS Office and standard office equipment
Ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment
Must have very strong communication skills
Must be able to demonstrate initiative and responsibility
Experience using the Courts' ECF (Electronic Filing) Systems
Ability to read a court docket
Basic understanding of the litigation process, familiar with filing procedure
Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of filing professionals
Responsibilities
Review pleadings to ensure compliance with court rules and communicate necessary changes to attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries; finalize filing details with Court Clerks
Perform Federal and State Court e-filings and provide confirmations to attorneys, paralegals and secretaries
Coordinate the service of papers on parties and non-parties by outside process servers
Proper routing of incoming mail and telephone calls as required
Internet research for purposes of retrieving documents, confirming appearances and obtaining general legal and procedural information
