This is where problem-solvers, innovators, and big thinkers thrive.\r\nQuest Defense Systems and Solutions is seeking an experienced Aerospace Software Verification Engineer to join our team in performing software design review and software verification for a Level A certified aircraft engine control system.\r\nDue to the nature of the project, all applicants must be U.S. citizens.\r\nThis role is onsite in Cincinnati, OH.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nPerform detailed reviews of software design diagrams (created in Beacon) against established standards, checklists, and best practices.\r\nDevelop, execute, and debug software unit tests to verify requirements-based functionality and robustness.\r\nIdentify, document, and resolve discrepancies or defects discovered during reviews and testing.\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support verification activities in a regulated aerospace environment.\r\nRequired Skills\r\nSolid understanding of fundamental software concepts, including data types, control structures, conditional execution paths, and modular design.\r\nExperience interpreting and working with software logic diagrams, flowcharts, or model-based design representations.\r\nProven hands-on experience in software verification activities, such as testing, reviews, or analysis.\r\nStrong attention to detail and ability to work methodically in accordance with strict processes.\r\nDesired Skills\r\nKnowledge of DO-178C (or DO-178B) Level A certification processes, particularly as applied to aircraft engine control systems or FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control).\r\nFamiliarity with unit testing frameworks/tools in embedded or safety-critical environments.\r\nExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and process-driven team setting.\r\nPrior experience in aerospace, avionics, or similarly regulated industries.\r\nPhysical Requirements & Work Environment:\r\nMostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.\r\nSubstantial amounts of telephone and computer work.\r\nHeavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.\r\nFlexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.\r\nTypical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM\r\nAbility to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.\r\nDue to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen\r\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
