This role develops automated test solutions, troubleshoots Android and Linux-based prototype devices, executes system bring-up, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure product quality and data integrity.Essential Job Functions - ResponsibilitiesOwn and maintain Python-based test software, including development, deployment, and supportDevelop and implement program-level test plans in collaboration with EngineeringDesign and deploy automated test solutions for manufacturing, integration testing, and prototype bring-upExecute end-of-line testing and prototype bring-up, including fault isolation, debugging, and repair support Troubleshoot Android and Linux-based prototype devices using tools such as ADB, serial consoles, log analysis, and command-line utilitiesCollaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems engineers to diagnose issues across software and hardwareMaintain and update test coverage as product requirements evolveProvision, configure, and validate hardware for testing and system bring-upOversee test data collection, validate data integrity, and support root cause analysis.Maintain lab systems, including PCs, engineering units, and custom hardware setupsFollow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrencesEducation and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent requiredMinimum of 5 years of relevant work experience preferred Strong proficiency in Python, including scripting, automation, and data processingExperience working in Linux environments, including command-line tools, SSH, and basic system administrationExperience troubleshooting software and hardware systems in prototype or lab environmentsExperience with Android device debugging using ADB, logcat, shell commands, or similar tools is preferredSolid understanding of software engineering best practicesExperience working across Windows, macOS, and Linux environmentsExperience using version control systems such as GitAbility to write clear, maintainable, well-documented codeStrong debugging and root cause analysis skillsExperience working in collaborative, cross-functional engineering environmentsStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic lab environmentExperience with embedded systems, VR/AR devices, robotics, or modern C++ is a plusStrong written and verbal English language communication skillsExcellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectivelyDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work groupDemonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core ValuesPass a post-offer background verificationWork EnvironmentStandard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions.
