No Offer Description Conducting scientific research within the statutory activities of the Department / research team; Publishing research results in the form of monographs, book chapters, and articles in leading international peer-reviewed journals; Applying for and managing research grants, particularly within national and international competitive funding schemes; Contributing to the dissemination and public outreach of research results produced at the Institute; Performing other duties assigned by the Director of the Institute. Where to apply E-mail politic@isppan.waw.pl Requirements General Requirements A significant research record, including publications in leading national and international academic journals; Documented proficiency in English (supported by publications and/or certificates) at a level enabling the conduct of research and publication in international academic venues (C1 level); Other academic achievements, including awards, research grants, and fellowships, particularly international ones. Specific Requirements Research interests aligned with the profile of the Department / research team, confirmed by publications in international peer-reviewed journals, monographs, and edited volumes; A significant publication record in the field of social and institutional change; Experience in leadership roles within research teams; Experience in designing and managing research projects; Experience in supervising students and/or doctoral candidates; Knowledge of languages other than English, enabling the conduct of research, analysis of sources, and publication of results in international academic contexts, will be considered an asset. The Institute is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to the principles of the European Charter for Researchers; Possibility of partial remote work; The Institute offers remuneration comprising a basic salary not lower than that provided for in Article 137 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018, and the regulation amending the regulation on the minimum monthly basic salary for a professor at a public university, of February 15, 2024, and other components of remuneration, including seniority allowances, in accordance with the Act on the Polish Academy of Sciences of April 30, 2010, and may include functional allowances, incentive bonuses, and bonuses for scientific achievements in accordance with the orders of the Director of the Institute. Formal Requirements A scientific title of professor in the social sciences in the discipline of sociology, or holding an equivalent position of professor of sociology (full professor / professor) at a foreign academic institution, for a period sufficient to demonstrate a significant research record and experience in leading independent research; Submission of a complete set of required documents by email to: politic@isppan.waw.pl (email subject: "Recruitment: Professor / Department of Research on Social and Institutional Transformations").
