{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"079ea93a2d98c8ab5c3f8e89","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/079ea93a2d98c8ab5c3f8e89","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/079ea93a2d98c8ab5c3f8e89","title":"Assembler","description":"YOUR DAY TO DAY :Principally responsible for the assembly of cables and modules in accordance with exacting design specifications.\r\nCoaxial cables (many different size and connectors, flex and solid center conductors)\r\nIndustrial automation connectors (panel connectors and ferrules, drive connectors, motor connectors, cutting and terminating equipment)\r\nMS connectors (all kinds of variations and sealing operations)\r\nCommercial electronics connectors (mini and micro fit on medium speed termination equipment)\r\nHi flex cable assemblies (WL Gore / LEONI cores and PTFE sleeves with heat-shrink and special clamps)Machine & Equipment used :Soldering irons, soldering aids, cutters, long nose and grip ring pliers, wire strippers, nut drivers, rivet guns, open and box end wrenches, luggers, screwdrivers, component bending tools, torches, vacuum equipment, RF induction heating equipment, cold test equipment, spot welding, laser welding and heliarc welding equipment, brazing equipment, measuring calipers, voltmeters, electronic multi-meter, heat guns, glue guns, tie wrap guns, crimpers, crimping machines, etc.YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR :Fabricates and tests cable assemblies following blueprints specifications, using measuring instruments, hand tools, and machines.\r\nReads and interprets blueprints, work orders and specifications to define sequence of operations, type & size of cable fittings required, quantity and finished dimensions.\r\nMeasures & cuts cable to required length, considering cable stretch metal flow resulting from swaging operations, using cable cutter or saw.\r\nSelects installs dies, jigs, shims, or other accessories in swaging machine, using hand tools.\r\nAssembles fittings onto cable in specified location.\r\nPositions fitting cable between dies of swaging machine and depresses pedal to activate machine that swages fittings onto cable, turning cable assembly by hand as fitting is swaged onto cable.\r\nVerifies dimensions of cable assembly position of fittings, using measuring instruments.\r\nTests holding capacity of cable assembly, using proof loading machines.\r\nRepairs reworks cable assemblies as required.\r\nMay form loops or splices in cables, using clamps fittings, or by reweaving cable strands.\r\nMay apply lubricants protective coatings to cable assemblies.\r\nMay operate crimping machine.\r\nMay mark identifying information on cable assemblies.\r\nMay fabricate cable templates.\r\nPerforms all work in accordance with established safety procedures.\r\nMaintain shop disciplines (housekeeping, clean as you go and 5S)\r\nWork from assembly drawings, 3-D models, and other general documentation to carry out assembly procedures.\r\nPerform basic assembly operations to exacting tolerances\r\nUse precise measuring instruments\r\ncorrect dimensional tolerance and check finishing specifications.\r\nDetect defective parts, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to proper supervision.\r\nComplete necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements.\r\nBe an active participant in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issues.\r\nAssist engineering with R&D.YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE :Must have problem solving abilities.\r\nMust be able to read blueprints and interpret complicated specifications.\r\nMust have extensive understanding of complex mechanical assembly, cable assembly and module assembly.\r\nUnderstand and operate various hand and power tools involved in assembly and cable making.\r\nWillingness to assist assembly team with other duties as required.\r\nPossess good communication and interpersonal skills; be able to independently solve problems while interacting with various teams and teammates on daily processes and flow.\r\nMust be capable of multi-tasking various duties throughout the day, have a positive attitude with an ability to be versatile and flexible.\r\nContinuous mental and visual attention is necessary to perform various duties requiring constant alertness and activity.\r\nHigh school diploma or GED.\r\nTypically requires 1+ years wiring experience\r\nMust be a U.S. CitizenSHAPING THE FUTURE THROUGH INNOVATION AND DISCOVERY!With a history spanning more than seven decades, Communications & Power Industries' thousands of products have impacted people's lives in numerous unseen ways every day.
