The CDM Data Services Program is a critical component of CISA’s national effort to ensure the defense and resilience of cyberspace. This is a remote position where the candidate can work from any location within the United States provided, they are able to work on an eastern time zone schedule.\nThe CDM Data Services Program mission is to provide a standardized platform to collect, transform, and integrate cybersecurity data from relevant authoritative data sources into a coherent data, delivering actionable information into Agency and Federal Dashboards to identify risk areas in support of mitigation as well as to facilitate coordinated agency and national response to cyber-threats.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and execute test plans to validate software functionality against requirements and specifications.\nPerform end to end test validation for several products and components primarily testing the data layer and dataflows. Additional test validation may include RESTful services and User Interfaces.\nDevelop and maintain test plans, procedures and reports necessary to conduct integration and test activities.\nDevelopment and maintenance of automated tests via script generation, Selenium, etc.\nConduct test activities such as regression, security, and stress testing to measure system performance.\nAssess or generate system requirements, acceptance criteria and generate detailed defects.\nWork closely with development teams to gain an in-depth level of understanding of the applications, the applications deployment process and troubleshoot defects.\nTroubleshoot and provide support to end users and or external applications.\nDevelop and execute automated tests and manual tests to collect metrics and generate artifacts for use by government Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testers.\nWork closely with Automation Engineers to develop testing methods.\nWork with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute a robust strategy for testing.\nDevelop and execute approaches that promote efficient, effective software testing methods such as modular, unit, and regression testing.\nUtilize integration tests to validate the implementation of the data requirements in accordance with the Interface Control Document and other documents.\nCreate test artifacts including test cases and test reports.\nFacilitate solution testing in ManTech cloud-based lab environments.\nBasic Qualifications:\nA minimum of (9) years experience in complex data validation, data flow, data parser and hands on database testing (Postgres preferred)\nExperience with developing test plans, procedures, report generation and maintenance.\nExperience with developing exploratory testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, API testing, and data-driven automated testing scenarios.\nIdentify, verify and report defects; perform root cause analysis by inspecting application logs and through use of browser developer tools, etc.\nKnowledge and experience with automated test generation\nKnowledge and experience of RESTful web service testing including the use of Poster/REST Client or similar.\nExperience with Linux OS as well as bash/sh scripts.\nAbility to read and understand XML, JSON, CSV files.\nExperience with writing queries in SQL and other query languages (Elasticsearch KQL)\nKnowledge of big data platforms and formats (Elasticsearch, JSON, data lakes, etc.)\nUnderstanding of data transformation and normalization\nExperience with using the Jira ticketing system to coordinate issue resolution\nExperience with troubleshooting system defects, user issues and connectivity issues.\nExperience with DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) a plus.\nAbility to adapt to Agile Scrum Software Development methodologies with a cross-functional team approach\nAbility to work well in an independent and team environment.\nFlexibility and ability to complete tasks in a fast paced environment.\nDetailed oriented and excellent problem solving and organizational skills.\nMust be a self-starter and have the ability to think outside the box to design effective solutions.\nMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills as this position will interact with senior level executives.\nSecurity/Clearance Requirements\nMust be a U.S. citizen\nAble to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD)\nPhysical Requirements\nMust be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time\nMust be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel\nConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer\nThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
