It drives process continuous improvement activities, with the view to reduce manufacturing variance and improve competitiveness, and participates to industrial benchmark activities.\n\nPURPOSE\n\nDefine and optimize process parameters to communicate them to production in order to produce at the best cost.\nValidate and record any changes to the process (material, tooling and machine)\nCoach the production department to work on the capability of the process in order to reduce the cost of production.\nTo be the privileged interlocutor between CC2 and the Charleston site.\n\nAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY\n\nTendering\n\nProvide Tender Production cost for the Factory, including relevant investments. Keep Plant factory cost standards up to date\n\nSafety, quality, environment, work regulations, compliance and competition rules Apply and motivate staff to apply instructions, procedures and regulations in terms of safety, quality, environment and work regulations.\nProcess\n\nDefine, optimize the parameters of each manufacturing process Validate and record any changes to the process parameters.\n\nProcess Engineering\n\nCoordinate the drafting, validation and dissemination of manufacturing and self-control procedures\n\nStandard\n\nDefine and improve production standards data.\n\nContinuous improvement\n\nPromote and organize continuous improvement through the use of proven methods\n\n(5W, 8D,…) but also by participating in benchmarks within the group.\n\nOrganization of the service\n\nEnsure you have the necessary expertise and versatility at all times.\n\nEmployee management\n\nLeading, training, coaching and monitoring your direct reports.\n\nTechnical feasibility\n\nUpdate the technical information that allows the design offices to determine the Technical feasibility of the proposed cables.\n\nDrives alert system for critical issues, including AMS ; checks that actions are implemented and lessons learned are integrated.\nEnsures that the organization has the right skills and competences in place, and have a development plan for each member of the plant technical organization.\n\nEXPECTED RESULTS\n\nTo guarantee compliance with these rules, to reduce the frequency and severity of work accidents as well as the environmental impact of the activity\nResults of internal/external audits, environmental indicators (energy saving, reduction and sorting of waste, etc.)\nRespond to specifications and ensuring safety, quality and productivity,\nProduction deviations\nMonitoring of the competitiveness plan (SMP)\nProposal and implementation of actions\nMeet the company's requirements in terms of process engineering, materials and processes within the budget approved by management\nRespect for deadlines, results of internal and external audits (ISO 9001 and 14001)\nBudget realization\nEnsure that the department has competent and motivated staff at all times to achieve the site's objectives\nTo be able to manufacture cables within the quality and calculated manufacturing costs\nNumber of NC; determine the causes of problems and solve them\nNumber of internal NC due to raw materials production discrepancies\n\nRequested Competencies and Qualification\n\nIndustrial Engineer Degree or minimum 5-7 years of industrial manufacturing experience\nExperience: 5 years minimum in an industrial manufacturing sector, process engineering or quality function\nGood interpersonal skills and upward and downward communication\nStrong Leadership skills (Coaching, influencing, leadership, motivating)\nBusiness acumen.
