The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on SQL / T-SQL skills, and a background supporting live applications, batch processes, and system integrations in a Windows-based environment.\n\nThis is a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Springfield, MA, with an onsite expectation of three days per week.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nInvestigate and resolve production application issues by analyzing system behavior, SQL data, logs, batch jobs, and related dependencies\nUse SQL / T-SQL to research data issues, validate records, identify root causes, and support issue resolution\nSupport and troubleshoot batch processes, scheduled tasks, file-based workflows, and application integrations\nWork closely with internal teams, business users, and third-party vendors to diagnose issues and coordinate timely resolution\nAssist with application upgrades, patches, fixes, and maintenance activities\nParticipate in testing and validation of system changes to ensure production readiness\nDocument incidents, resolutions, known issues, and support procedures in a clear and organized manner\nMonitor recurring issues and proactively identify opportunities to improve system stability and support efficiency\nEscalate issues appropriately and communicate status, impact, and next steps to stakeholders\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, STEM, or equivalent practical experience\nStrong hands-on experience with SQL or T-SQL in a production support or application support environment\nExperience troubleshooting data-driven application issues, including identifying data anomalies, failed processes, and integration-related problems\nExperience supporting batch jobs, scheduled tasks, file transfers, or automated workflows\nHands-on experience with PowerShell for scripting, support automation, or operational troubleshooting\nExperience working in a Windows-based environment\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex issues methodically\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a support-driven environment\nStrong written documentation and verbal communication skills\nProfessional, collaborative approach with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through\nHigh level of integrity, discretion, and accountability\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting vendor-supplied business applications\nExperience with application logs, service monitoring, and operational health checks\nFamiliarity with production support processes, incident response, and root-cause analysis\nExperience working with integrations, flat files, or data exchange processes\nExposure to retail, distribution, supply chain, warehouse, or other high-volume operational environments\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving production issues, working hands-on with data, and supporting systems that are critical to day-to-day business operations.
