You will also be responsible for preparing preliminary and final designs and developing construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, and signing/striping.\nFor this opportunity, we are seeking a qualified candidate who currently resides or plans to relocate within a regular commuting distance of our office.\nHybrid Work Environment: Tuesday - Thursday In-Office \\u007C Monday & Friday WFH\nResponsibilities\nLead traffic related design and plan development (roundabouts, traffic signals, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, striping, and lighting).\nConduct analyses using simulation and modeling software.\nCreate production of plans, specifications and cost estimates.\nCollaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians generating safe and efficient designs for complex transportation infrastructure systems for the Department of Transportation, local agencies, and design-build contractors.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering\nA minimum of 5 to 8 years of related experience.\nRegistered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota or ability to obtain within six months of employment.\nExperience or interest in projects related to design and/or plan development for roundabouts, traffic signals, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, striping, and lighting.\nStrong working knowledge and previous experience with CADD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.).\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).\nStrong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to write descriptive and technically accurate specifications and reports; Ability to participate in or lead project team meetings and client consultations.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPTOE Certification or interest in attaining PTOE Certification\nPrevious Design-Build experience.\nPrevious experience in developing and evaluating transportation system and corridor alternatives.\nPrevious experience with traffic operations analysis, forecasting, and modeling.\nWorking knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, etc.).\nPrevious Project Management and Business Development experience.\nThe listed salary range reflects base pay for candidates with 5-15 years of related experience.
