The ideal candidate will manage MEP/HVAC projects from concept through closeout, coordinate multidisciplinary teams using BIM tools, and ensure installations meet performance, schedule, and budget targets.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead mechanical engineering design and project execution for MEP/HVAC systems across commercial and institutional projects.\nDevelop and review mechanical calculations, equipment selections, schedules, and specifications to meet project requirements and codes.\nProduce and coordinate Revit/BIM models and 2D CAD drawings for mechanical systems; ensure model accuracy and clash coordination with other disciplines.\nCollaborate with architects, electrical and plumbing engineers, contractors, and owners to resolve design issues and integrate systems.\nPrepare construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and design change documentation; support construction administration and commissioning activities.\nManage project scope, budgets, and schedules; track progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to meet deliverables.\nProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters; review work for quality and adherence to standards.\nEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, sustainability goals, and client requirements, and assist with permitting as needed.\nParticipate in client meetings, present technical solutions, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.\nEIT certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain.\n5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering for building MEP/HVAC systems; project engineering or design-build experience preferred.\nProficient in Revit (MEP/BIM), AutoCAD, and mechanical analysis tools; experience with clash detection and BIM coordination.\nStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork and piping design, equipment selection, load calculations, and industry codes (ASHRAE, IMC, NFPA, local codes).\nExperience preparing construction documents, specifications, submittals, and performing construction administration duties.\nExcellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.\nDetail-oriented, self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, with a commitment to quality and safety.\n\nBenefits\n\nHealth/Dental/Vision\n90% paid health and dental insurance\nRetirement savings plan with 401K Match\nPaid time off\nOpportunities for career development through paid training and education\n\n- For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
