RN Endoscopy

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Endoscopy to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This role requires a compassionate individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Duties Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. Administer medications and IVs as prescribed, ensuring proper venipuncture techniques. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate patients and their families about procedures, care plans, and post-procedure instructions. Maintain accurate patient records, including ICD-10 coding for diagnoses and procedures. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards in the endoscopy unit. Assist in the preparation of the endoscopy suite, including equipment setup and sterilization. Provide support for patients with behavioral health needs as necessary. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Previous experience in an endoscopy unit or similar medical setting is preferred. Strong skills in venipuncture and knowledge of hospital medicine practices. Familiarity with coding practices, particularly ICD-10, is a plus. Experience or training in toddler care and infant care may be beneficial for family-centered approaches. Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed. Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures is advantageous but not required.
