Harness CAE Designer
We are seeking an experienced Harness CAE Designer to support automotive wiring harness development using Siemens Capital tools. The role involves end-to-end harness design, including logical system design, physical routing, validation, and manufacturing deliverables. The candidate will work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready harness designs aligned with OEM standards.Key ResponsibilitiesHarness Design & DevelopmentPerform complete automotive wiring harness design using Siemens CapitalDevelop logical wiring architecture including power distribution and communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay)Define connectivity between ECUs, sensors, actuators, and other electrical componentsPhysical Harness DesignCreate physical harness layouts including routing, bundle structure, splices, and breakoutsDefine connectors, terminals, and wire attributes (gauge, color, material, shielding)Ensure alignment with vehicle packaging and existing CAD dataManufacturing OutputsGenerate 2D harness drawings for production releaseCreate BOMs, wire lists, connectivity reports, splice tables, and cut-length reportsDeliver release-ready and change-controlled design datasetsValidation & AnalysisPerform electrical validation including rule checks and circuit protection validationSupport voltage drop analysis and design consistency checksProvide data for downstream simulation toolsData Integration & BenchmarkingImport and utilize CATIA and EAZ data for harness developmentPerform comparisons between Siemens Capital and legacy tool outputsIdentify gaps and recommend improvementsDocumentation & ReportingPrepare design reviews and technical documentationMaintain workflow documentation and best practice guidelinesTrack issues, changes, and resolution statusRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong experience with Siemens Capital (Harness Design & Analysis)Hands-on experience in automotive wiring harness developmentKnowledge of vehicle electrical systems and network protocolsExperience with CATIA V5/V6 and EAZ toolsUnderstanding of harness manufacturing deliverables (BOM, drawings, reports)Experience in electrical validation and CAE analysisBasic knowledge of Python is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
