In addition to the opportunity to work on some of the most interesting projects in the area, CMT also offers:\nCompetitive Wages;\nBenefits, including medical, dental, vision, & life insurance; HSA & FSA; 401K; paid holidays; and paid time off (PTO);\nCareer advancement opportunities through certification training and professional development assistance;\nSigning bonus; and\nCareer advancement opportunities with one of the most respected firms in the industry.\nIf you are looking for a CAREER opportunity where you can development your professional skills, enhance your technical certifications, and work with great clients on high-profile projects; then we want to talk to you!\n\nWe're looking for a laboratory testing professional with strong initiative, great communication skills, a commitment to client service, and a passion for mentoring staff to lead our AMRL-accredited construction materials testing laboratory in Meridian, Idaho.\n\nPosition responsibilities may include:\nPromote, sustain, and demonstrate CMT's values and safety commitment.\nResponsible for making sure project deadlines are met by providing proper scheduling, coordination, and organization of items to be tested and available resources.\nResponsible to perform routine to complex lab testing including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and grout materials.\nResponsible for performing the testing, documentation, computations, and quality review in accordance with CMT's Quality System Manual, applicable testing specifications, and the professional standard of care.\nEnsures that laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated in accordance with internal procedures.\nMaintenance of CMT's laboratory accreditations.\nPrudently manages resources and staff to ensure efficiency and quality.\nProvides support on marketing and proposal efforts as required.\nExperienced in establishing and maintaining relationships through excellent communication, professionalism, and client service focus to both internal and external clients.\nSupervise operational personnel (laboratory staff), including resource coordination, internal quality control, and management of deliverables.\nCommunicate with clients, staff, and supervisors to successfully and profitably deliver laboratory services on a consistent basis.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance for staff.\nRepresent CMT with local and national professional organizations.\n\nConsideration for this position requires the following certifications or experience:\nAt least 5 years of experience with laboratory testing of construction materials.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience managing a construction materials testing laboratory.\nValid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug test.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nAbility to work independently and as a team member, maintaining composure, and working effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.\nMust have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.\nAble to use a company provided computer and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and proprietary information management systems .\nOrganization and multi-tasking ability.\nA good work ethic, attention to detail, and high level of personal integrity.\nAuthorization to work in the United States.\n\nIn addition to the above required certifications and experience, hiring preference will be given to those with the following certifications or experience:\nAssociates degree or higher in construction technology, construction management, or related field.\nIdaho Transportation Department (ITD) testing certifications.\nAmerican Concrete Institute (ACI) certifications:\nAggregate Testing Technician - Level 1 or 2\nAggregate/Soils Base Testing Technician\nConcrete Laboratory Testing Technician Level 1 or 2\nConcrete Strength Testing Technician\nConcrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1\nNational Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET):\nConstruction Materials Testing: Asphalt, Concrete, Soils (Levels I, II, or III)\nNuclear density gauge safety, handling, operation, and transporting training/certification.\nEngineer-In-Training (EIT) or Fundamental of Engineering (FE) certification\n\nCMT offers an excellent compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, insurance, and paid holidays.
