At SAS, we innovate today to power the devices of tomorrow.\n\nPosition Summary\nThe CMP team at Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a process engineer who will work with a talented team of professionals focused on establishing and maintaining world‑class process/equipment, implementing yield enhancement, and identifying complex problems and implementing solutions.\n\nRole And Responsibilities\n\nMonitor the wafer fabrication process by responding to in‑line issues and dispositions of production wafers.\n\nQualify wafer fabrication processes on new tools.\n\nCoordinate the scheduling of process qualifications and equipment down‑time with manufacturing or equipment engineering.\n\nUse software to analyze data, identify trends, and make decisions about processing.\n\nMake adjustments when process parameters are exceeded and monitor parameters when tools return from maintenance.\n\nExecute in‑line changes (CPM) to the process or equipment.\n\nCommunicate technical information within the department.\n\nContinuously revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\n\nDevelop improved processes to increase capability.\n\nSkills And Qualifications\n\n2+ years prior work experience.\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Computer Science.\n\nExperience scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language.\n\nUnderstanding of statistical methods.\n\nExperience in Change Point Management.\n\nUnderstanding of Lean, TPS, or 5S principles.\n\nAbility to perform structured problem solving (8D, 7‑step, etc.).\n\nExperience using software data analysis tools such as Spotfire, JMP, MATLAB, etc.\n\nNight Shifts\nB Shift – Sunday through Tuesday, 6:45 pm to 7:15 am, with alternating Saturdays.\nD Shift – Wednesday through Friday, 6:45 pm to 7:15 am, with alternating Saturdays.\n\nTotal Rewards\nThe current base salary range for this role is $70,480–$179,090.
