The engineer will directly support program management, systems engineering, cybersecurity, integration and test, and operations.\r\nProgram & Technical Leadership\r\nAttend and lead technical and program reviews, working groups, and design milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, ORR).\r\nEnsure compliance with applicable engineering and quality standards, including IEEE 15288.x, SAE AS9100, AS6500, and MIL-STD-882E.\r\nProvide technical deliverables and documentation related to secure networking.\r\nGround Transition & Integration\r\nSupport secure networking during hardware/software integration and ground system transitions.\r\nEstablish and maintain network connectivity, security controls, and cryptographic device management.\r\nEnsure proper handling of COMSEC devices, spares, and keying materials.\r\nProgram Management\r\nProvide secure networking inputs to project schedules and integrated master plans.\r\nTrack milestones, risks, and deliverables related to networking security activities.\r\nSystems Engineering\r\nLead or support requirements definition, risk management, and technical performance tracking.\r\nDevelop and maintain networking artifacts within model-based systems engineering (MBSE) environments.\r\nSupport verification, validation, and system safety planning for secure networking elements.\r\nDeliver sustainment and maintenance planning for secure networking infrastructure.\r\nIntegration & Test\r\nDevelop, review, and maintain interface control documents for networking systems.\r\nSupport integration and test activities with vendors and mission partners.\r\nTroubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure interoperability across systems and mission partners.\r\nParticipate in test readiness reviews and resolve findings.\r\nCybersecurity\r\nSupport cybersecurity testing and evaluation of ground systems.\r\nDevelop and maintain cybersecurity body of evidence (e.g., workforce rosters, PPS matrices, STIGs, compliance reports, network diagrams, device configs).\r\nConduct vulnerability assessments, compliance scans, and mitigation activities.\r\nProtect systems against TEMPEST-related threats and information leakage.\r\nOperations & Sustainment\r\nDesign, plan, and execute secure network infrastructure installations at operational facilities.\r\nMaintain ground system infrastructure with updated configurations.\r\nSupport nominal and backup operations of ground elements as the secure networking lead.\r\nTravel Requirements\r\nUp to 25% travel to program offices, operational facilities, and contractor/vendor sites.\r\nSalary\r\nUp to $150,000.00 DOE\r\nMinimum Qualifications\r\nActive DoD Secret Clearance (TS/SCI Preferred).\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\r\n7+ years of experience in secure networking, systems engineering, or cybersecurity for DoD/IC programs.\r\nExpertise in DISA STIGs, RMF, COMSEC handling, TEMPEST protections, and IA Workforce requirements.\r\nExperience with MBSE tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, MagicDraw, or equivalent).\r\nFamiliarity with IEEE 15288.x, SAE AS9100, AS6500, and MIL-STD-882E standards.\r\nDesired Qualifications\r\nExperience with large-scale ground systems integration (satellite, space, or defense systems).\r\nHands-on with cryptographic devices (e.g., KIV-7M, TACLANE, KG-series).\r\nStrong background in DoD program scheduling and risk management.\r\nCISSP, CCNP Security, or DoD 8570/8140 certification.\r\nPrior work with SSC, SMC, or other space enterprise programs.\r\nEntarian is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
